It is almost time! Tally is now becoming a pretty in lss than 4 days! She can barey wait and the only thing she wants now is for her great best friend to come and barely wait with her. But, Shay doesn't want to become pretty! This is a big deal. Everyone wants to be pretty and perfect except Shay. She feels that people loose individual rights when they become perfect and loose freedom. She doesn't want people to change.
I feel that Shay is niether right or wrong. She has a good opinion but I feel that she should just become pretty like the rest of the people in society. If you don't become pretty you never come out of your home or go in town because you are embaressed. Who wants that?
Also I feel that Tally is being led on by Shay. She needs to realise that Shay is a bad person. Sure, they go have fun in the woods when they aren't aloud to do it. But, is it worth spending your whole life not being pretty? NO parties, no fun, no freedom! You are still they same person when you are pretty and thats what people don't understand! You are the same person with better benefits because you look amazing and flawless.

ReplyDelete1. I really want to read this book! It sounds similar to, The Hunger Games, which I loved! I'm interested to learn more about this 'pretty' procedure. And when some people, like Shay, don't want to be pretty, do you think they aren't allowed out of their house because the society doesn't want to see ugly people?
ReplyDeleteI disagree and think that people who have everything in life feel superior to everyone else so that changes you from what you might otherwise be.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have a different idea of Shay than others, including myself. I read this book last year and when Shay was first introduced I agreed with her that not being pretty was the better choice, but that's just me. I hope you enjoy the rest of the book.
ReplyDeleteI loved how you used voice in this blog post. It made me want to keep reading and I wanted the blog post to continue on longer. I also loved how you put your opinion and asked questions to keep the readers involved. This sounds like a book I would really enjoy and I can't wait to get reading!
